delicious BBQ vegetable samosas with cheese
Ingredients:
1 & ½ tablespoons of butter
1 teaspoon of chopped garlic
¼ cup of chopped carrot
¼ cup of chopped capsicum (bell pepper)
1 cup of chopped cabbage
¼ teaspoon of white pepper powder (or to taste)
¼ teaspoon of crushed black pepper (or to taste)
¼ teaspoon of chicken powder
¼ teaspoon of salt (or to taste)
¼ cup of chopped green onion leaves
2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour (maida)
1-2 tablespoons of water
10-12 samosa patti (pastry sheets)
1 tablespoon of BBQ sauce
1-2 tablespoons of grated mozzarella cheese
2 eggs
½ teaspoon of salt (or to taste)
½ teaspoon of white pepper powder
½ teaspoon of crushed black pepper
1-2 tablespoons of grated mozzarella cheese
1 cup of all-purpose flour (maida) (or as required)
1 cup of bread crumbs
Oil for frying
Instructions:
In a pan, melt the butter and add the chopped garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the chopped carrot, capsicum, cabbage, white pepper powder, black pepper powder, chicken powder, and salt to the pan. Mix well and cook for 5-7 minutes or until the vegetables are soft.
Add the chopped green onion leaves and mix well. Set aside to cool.
In a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour (maida) and 1-2 tablespoons of water to form a smooth paste.
Take a samosa patti and place it on a flat surface. Apply the all-purpose flour paste around the edges of the patti.
Add a teaspoon of BBQ sauce and a teaspoon of grated mozzarella cheese in the center of the patti.
Add a spoonful of the cooked vegetable mixture on top of the cheese.
Fold the samosa patti in a triangular shape and seal the edges with the all-purpose flour paste.
In a separate bowl, beat 2 eggs with salt, white pepper powder, and crushed black pepper.
Dip the samosas in the egg mixture and coat them with bread crumbs.
Repeat the process with the remaining samosa patti.
fry the samosas until golden brown.
Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
