                                                                          Balochi Tikka Biryani - Eid Special Recipe 

 Balochi Tikka Biryani is a delicious and aromatic dish that is perfect for Eid or any special occasion. Here's a recipe that you can follow to make this mouthwatering dish:



Ingredients:

  • 1 kg chicken, cut into large pieces
  • 1 kg basmati rice
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp red chili powder
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • 2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 4-5 onions, thinly sliced
  • 4-5 green chilies, sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1/2 cup fresh coriander leaves
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed

For the Balochi Tikka:

  • 1 kg boneless chicken, cut into large cubes
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp red chili powder
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • 2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Skewers for grilling

Instructions:

  1. Wash the rice and soak it in water for 30 minutes.

  2. In a large bowl, mix together the chicken pieces, yogurt, ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, and salt. Marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight.

  3. Preheat the grill and thread the chicken pieces onto the skewers. Grill for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.

  4. In a large pot, heat the oil and fry the sliced onions until golden brown. Remove the onions and set aside.

  5. In the same pot, add the marinated chicken pieces and cook for 10-15 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and tender.

  6. Add the cooked rice to the pot, along with the green chilies, mint leaves, coriander leaves, lemon juice, and salt to taste. Mix well.

  7. Layer the cooked chicken over the rice, and then sprinkle the fried onions on top.

  8. Cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid and cook over low heat for 10-15 minutes, or until the rice is cooked through and the flavors have melded together.

  9. Serve hot with raita and salad.
